Musician Profiles

Violin

With over 14 years of experience as a freelancing violinist, Elly is an accomplished musician. She’s studied under many renowned musicians, has a B.M. in Violin Performance, and is a founding teacher of the San Diego Suzuki School of Music. She has performed in Europe and throughout So. California with a variety of orchestras, chamber ensembles and guest performers including: Mark O’Connor, Mannheim Steamroller, Zubin Mehta, Midori, and Randy Newman.

   

Cello

Nicholas has played cello for over sixteen years. Throughout his career, he has played in multiple chamber groups and has experimented with a variety of musical styles. Nicholas has participated in the National Cello Institute, Strings by the Sea Music Camp and The Mark O'Connor Fiddle Conference. In all of these venues, Nicholas studied under world class musicians such as Glen Campbell, Renata Bratt, Mark Wood, Natalie Haas, and Evangeline Benadetti.

   

Violin

Marguerite brings over ten years of violin performance experience to San Diego String Crossing, including the La Jolla Symphony and free lance string quartet and chamber music ensembles. She was one of the founding teachers of the San Diego Suzuki School of Music where she continues to teach violin.

   

Viola, Violin

Danielle attended the University of Evansville as a music scholar where she studied music therapy. She has performed with numerous orchestras and chamber groups in a variety of settings including a European tour. Apart from being a freelance musician, Danielle teaches violin and viola in Encinitas as part of the San Diego Suzuki School of Music. She is also the Director of the Violin Program at Santa Fe Montessori School in Solana Beach.
